Magento 2 Minimum Order Limit Per Category is a very nice extension by which store owner can restrict the customer that they must meet the minimum limit of each category when they are cart page or try to place the order.
How It Works:
Lets Category A have minimum order limit 150 and some one go to listing page and select the product ABC from this category and put it into cart and go to cart page, it will see the limit message that “sorry you can place order till you need to limit of 150 for category A”
Same as for example admin set the minimum limit for Category A 150 and Category B limit 200 and some add the products into cart from category A for value above 150 and products for Category B for value below 200 then again message will be appear on a cart page or when some one try to place order i.e “sorry you can place order till you need to limit of 200 for category B”
Following image is showing that limit is applied on two categories at a same time.
You have to extract the extension in local fodler then upload the extracted folder in app/code/ so it will be something like app/code/ExpertDevelopers/CategoryLimit
Connect via SSH to your Magento server as, or switch to, the Magento file system owner and run the following commands from the (root) Magento directory:
▪ cd path_to_the_magento_root_directory
▪ php -f bin/magento module:enable ExpertDevelopers_CategoryLimit
▪ php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade
▪ php -f bin/magento setup:di:compile
▪ php -f bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Once it will successfully installed you will see the field against each category in admin panel having label “Limit” and set the required value there.
You can download the extension from Category Limit
